Maria's musings on Mene (monologues #3 & #4) are particularly chilling. Maria can't come up with a a convincing rationalization for Berg's documented history pedophilia and abuse, so she resorts to "who's the Family going to believe? The explanations provided by leadership or crazy little Mene?"
The all-time hottest smoking gun of a sociopathic mind has got to be Maria blaming the Lord and the "big bad world out there" for what she did: "Anyway, I'm sure the Lord allowed it, so we can't cry over spilt milk. We were sure living in our own little world & not at all conscious of the big bad world out there evidently."
