To XFamily, your glossary of terms

Posted by Observer on March 12, 2005 at 19:21:28

I checked out the Glossary of Family terms & noticed under 'Amen' that all you have for a meaning is:

Amen (pronounced Ay-men') — a Hebrew word meaning 'certainly, verily'. An exclamation of agreement. Commonly used at the closing of a prayer.

Shouldn't you also add other peculiar Family meanings, such as...

Amen (most common meaning is, 'Yes' or 'That's right.')

Amen? (When asked as a question means, 'Do you agree with me? You SHOULD agree with me!')

Amen... (When said with a sigh, means, 'Moving along to other business now.)

Amen (When said reluctantly, means, 'Well, OK, if I HAVE to.)
