I was waiting for someone to use the fact that I used the term "self-criticism" in one post and then in another my admission of having "an edge" (not "edgy" as you mistakenly say) as me being hypocritical. Don't you realize that criticism doesn't necessarily have to be negative?" When I referred to self-criticism I was referring to the fact that I admit that I have an edge about me. But that edge is not a negative quality, imo, as I pointed out in a subsequent post. My hard edges are a sign that I have left conformist, cultish thinking behind.

I still maintain that you are applying a double standard to me. You say: "If you make assumptions about the guest, allow her to make assumptions about you," and "If you want to express opinions about other so freely, please allow others to do the same about you". Yet you censored me for making those assumptions, but didn't censor her. Btw, to characterize her as a student as opposed to academic researcher is disingenuous on your part. Though she may be a graduate student, at that stage of her studies she is, indeed, an academic researcher, imo.

You talk about normal courtesy, but again, you censure me for my language, but you don't censure that outsider for using similar language. That sure seems like a double standard to me.
