Call off the search...

Posted by Perry on March 23, 2005 at 17:13:45

at least for the quotes I was looking for on Zerby and TF hearing from Berg. I posted down the board a bit a request for quotes on that subject and MG gave me some good leads. By using those leads I located the first quote in an online letter in the COG pubs section. Then, by doing key word searches in several other letters further down the list I came across the second quote. Together, these back up a point I'm making in my article. Here's what I found, thanks to MG:

MAMA'S LOVE STORY!--PART 4 --The Lord's Great Love for Us All, and "the New Garment of Prophecy!" Maria #276 DO 29953/95

64. Look at me. I don't have the gift of prophecy, but Dad said to me, "I'm going to whisper things in your ear." And the Lord said, "I'm going to give you things in your mind that are from Me."

HELP FROM HEAVEN!--ANSWERS TO YOUR QUESTIONS!-- Maria #337 DO 30566/96

14. This is not the first time I've heard of this lack of respect from you younger ones for your parents and the other adults. This seems to be a fairly widespread problem, so I asked someone in my Home to pray about this, and the Lord had Dad speak. He has something important to say to both you kids and you adults!

15. (Dad speaking:) What in the world is going on?! How can people get so far off the track? It's really sad! It's pitiful to see young kids treating their parents with such disrespect. I never would have put up with it! Children are expected to obey their parents, to respect and love them, to listen to them and take heed to their counsel.

16. JETTs and teens in the Family are still minors, and they're still expected to obey their parents whether they like it or not! Whether they agree with their parents' counsel or not, they are still under their shepherding, and they are expected to humble themselves and accept their parents' instruction and obey them.

It goes on a few more paragraphs in that vein. What a shitty job wading through that stuff, but if that's what it takes to further expose them, so be it. Thanks again, MG, for stirring your memory.
