I think it actually happened but like somone said, it was no angel but some loony Londoner who just walked up full of himself, probably certifiable, & started talking with a total stranger, not caring if Berg even answered him back. Berg wouldn't have thought twice of it if the guy hadn't said something about living a couple thousand more years.
Reminds me of the other loony Londoner Berg met on the train who sat down opposite Berg & Maria in an empty train & said, 'I know who you are! You're a teacher!' & Berg thought that guy was demon possessed & chased him off with his umbrella.
Maybe if the second guy had damned the Blacks then said he'd lived a couple thousand years Berg would have thought he was an angel too.
