Hope things work out great for you!
Tip of the day: treat your whole family to special dinner & celebration on the 1-year anniversary of your leaving the Family. Even if you look around & don't have a lot, at least you have your freedom & (hopefully) your family intact.
I know stuff like that's not as important as practical advice on moving your family Stateside, but every little bit of inspiration helps.
