God, Acheick. The more you talk about doing stuff for yourself--the things you do for pure the enjoyment of life--the more I like you.
The other great experience of night is mid-August when the Perseid meteor showers are on display. Did you ever see a meteor fireball streak across the sky? It's heart-stopping to watch.
Summer evenings at nightfall are also a treat--the symphony of sound when all the different birds, crickets, catydids and frogs put the day to bed. Whoever said country life is quiet never spent much time there.
