Yes, those quotes nail it! One Wife came out in 1972 and it was about 1975, three years later, that Demetrius told me how shocked he was to learn about what was happening in childcare, snatching kids, etc. That's three years between the policy to break up families and children, and Demetrius being blown away by what he had learned.
