I agree, Susie. It depends. There were DEFINITELY those who coerced or forced wives or women into situations they would not want to have gone in. Many women did not get off to FFing. There were a number of physically violent men in the family that beat their wives. I think that is something in the character of a person that was there before the family. Just as there are some that were molesters or had those tendencies before the family.
Also, as a single person, I was coerced into unwanted sex and forced on some occasions by people I did not want to have sex with. I avoided it as much as I could. Had I not been able to play music in clubs, I would have had a bigger problem of it. Since I did not have a husband (he had hooked up with someone else in the family and then left the family)for much of my time in the family I was under the thumb of- or glad to be under- whomever the shepherd(s) was.
Again it was a character thing, something that seems consistent about who are the tops in the family now. For instance one who is around Maria who used to be married to Shiloh had hit his wife on more than one occasion (she had black eyes).
There are other men that would never have done that, even if they were ordered to.
Seems some top child molesters allegedly have major FCF positions and are supported by the family. The family is rotten, like a shiny red apple that you bite into and the inside is partly brown and mushy, with worms in the center.
