a dag is aussie slang, and usually means someone that is very un-cool! daggy hair, daggy clothing etc. Any sense of "style" doesnt exist on dags. (but dags can still be nice people).
originally, dag is a term for the faecal matter that invariably becomes stuck to a sheep's behind, wadding itself into little balls that stick in the curly wool.(web definition)
