All I remember is reading it in TIME magazine back when it first came out & wondering about it then too, but the Family leadership never explained anything about it. Surprising really, when you think how much hay/publicity Berg could have made out of it, if Family "enemies" had done the deed.
Which does make you wonder, was the Family responsible and therefore not talking about it? Why was absolutely NOTHING ever mentioned about it? And more questions: What were TIME magazine's sources? Was the Family blamed first, and they turned around and blamed "enemies"? Have they gotten away with murder? How hard is it to check Belge police records for that year?
