Susie, I've found the recent Rolling Stone article to be very useful for similar purposes, as it gives a fairly accurate overview of TF, from the beginning up to current events. I've always had great difficulty in explaining my bizzare past, which is why I rarely do. Recently, I've given copies of that article to a few people who needed to know. They can learn in 30 minutes or so what it takes me hours and hours to explain. Once they've read it, it's easier to then focus on any specific questions they may have.
