Berg's final journeys

I know from reading that Berg was in Japan, went to Canada, went to the States & ended up in Europe -- Portugal, where he died. But Ricky says he was in Sweden too. Anyone know about that?

By the time he fled to Europe, he had stopped drinking all together and when he would go out all the time Maria was always worried about him going near a Pub or any kind of alcohol while out. He once had a glass of wine while at a restaurant in Sweden alone with me and I got in trouble for letting him—but what was I supposed to do? They worried that he would start again because of that, but he didn't.
