Chancellor may be OK with the things that were admitted to him because he believes that the people talking to him have completely repented their sins. If that is the case, he should do a theological analysis of TFI's doctrinal positions on forgiveness, contrition, repentance, and reconciliation. Instead, he pronounces TFI "repentent" and leaves it at that.

He is a very naive man to take anything Peter Amsterdam says at face value, but he does.

He also avoids doing a careful examination of the charges that led to his friend Clare's arrest by Argentine authorities. There may be some validity to the religious persecution charge when all the adults in a home are arrested and all the children taken into custody, BUT there were also specific charges brought against Clare regarding neglect, abuse and kidnapping. Investigation into these charges was not closed until early this year.

PR wonks paint with a broad brush for people who don't like to think; researchers are expected to pull apart the different threads in a tapestry and examine each thread for its contribution to the picture.
