This is from (here I quote LJ Ward) "Child Abuse?! An Official Statement from the Founders of the Children of God" which began with a quote from Moses David dated December 1988:"

And it is by no means any kind of policy setting or instructional text. Such INTIMATE RELATIONSHIPS between minors and adults have never been officially encouraged or condoned within our fellowship and it was a very unfortunate oversight and mistake on our part 10 years ago to have allowed such an article to be published. Since then we have expressly forbidden and condemned any such conduct among our members."
No wonder some of us struggle to establish "loving" or "intimate" romantic relationships as adults.
