Obligation of churches to protect members

The response by their Pastor to the victims of abuse in this news item sounds strikingly similar to the response from JW elders in the story I posted below, as well as to official statements from TF. Note also, that he blames the parents for failing in their duty while denying any wrongdoing by himself or other church leaders. Also, the article refers to the Journal of Religion and Abuse. I haven't checked it out yet, but that may be one forum to consider for those planning to formally challenge Chancellor.
