Thank you for your post. I had the same reaction. My friend said "they let it speak for itself."

The "Mama Maria" who drones on in her monologues about how, when her group promoted child sex abuse sighs "I guess we didn't realize what a big bad world there was out there." I recently read another archived pub where Sara is saying how "naive" our teens are about the System.

The wacked-out notions ("Family Values") of what is dangerous (or violent, as Kent points out in his review of Chancellor's pulp friction) and what kids need and don't need protection from hit you in the gut when you hear doomed toddler's reply to the main thing he learned from the movie:

"Daddies protect their babies."
