One of the Bible passages that got me (and got me to leave) was 2 Peter 2, where it speaks about "alluring through the lusts of the flesh..they promise liberty while they temselves are the servants of corruption...".
Why assume that, merely over time, their modus operandi would have essentially changed? Most of the public is aware of the cult's true nature, most of their membership is young, and sex is the main tool of oppression and deception.
So, why wonder?
