Yes, I try to catch each new episode. Brilliant satire, for the most part. I especially like the segment, This Week in God, a religious news update. And I also think that Stewart is quite good at bringing on guests whose political views he disagrees with and having a respectable discussion with them.

At its worst, the program occasionally becomes a 10 minute commercial for a mediocre Hollywood movie. At its best, Stewart becomes a pseudo-journalistic pitbull going after the arguably traitorous Bob Novak.

As for the Simpsons, give it a chance and the characters will grow on you. There is an incredible amount of social commentary and religion is a common theme. But of course, it's a cartoon, so there's some bizarreness too, which is fun.
