Can I Give a Little Analysis?

In reading the final two paragraphs:

"So there you have it?our reply to the absolutely false accusations of child abuse! We are sorry to dwell so much on such a repugnant & negative subject, but we hope this statement helps to resolve any questions you may have had. As mentioned in the beginning of this article; we'd much rather preach the Gospel?the "Good News" of God's Love in Jesus?than soil our fingers with the filthy false accusations of those who are intent on discrediting or destroying us!
?And speaking of the Gospel, have you found God's Love?......etc.etc.(this non-sequitorial seque continues with an oppressive salvation message that feels like an abusing predator forcing their religious views upon you."

My opinion now after leaving the cult is so different. This pronunciation is much too snide and clever, and they title it ABUSE?! Now when reading this I don't feel pride and admiration at my leader's boldness and skill at whacking away the wolves who persecute poor Christians, but it is just the opposite---I smell and feel and finally taste the bitter self-righteousness of criminal intent and denial and plain self-justification and refusal to acknowledge guilt.

It reminds me of Dostoevysky's story of his years in prison for his speaking out against the Russian govt. He was in a cell with mostly murderers, and what amazed him the most was the fact that not one of them felt guilty about their crimes, he said of criminals who were "guilty of a savage murder but never once...reflects upon the crime he has committed...and even considers himself to be in the right." Dostoevysky later says that these same accused murderers without exception would very often have nightmares and cry out in their sleep about these same crimes waking everyone, but in the daytime would be oblivious.

These characters so intrigued him that he wrote a novel called CRIME AND PUNISHMENT about such a criminal, one of the first pyschological novels and a great classic of all time.
