A question for Windy

Posted by Oldtimer on October 05, 2005 at 21:33:14

Windy, I have no issue with you, nor with John Jr. but what do you mean by what you said here?

For Kristi to do what she did to her dad and our family name is very upsetting to all of us.

If I understand this right, and correct me if I'm mistaken, you seem to be blaming Kristi for doing something wrong. What did she do wrong? Didn't her and Jim go into the show knowing that it would focus on parent/offspring conflict? Or were they under the impression that it would merely be an expose' of the Family and Dr. Phil took it a different direction?

And what about John Jr. and his wife? Wasn't the angle of their stories of suffering to ask Dr. Phil if China should sue her parents, again a parent/offspring conflict? Wasn't that the question they ended up at?

MY OWN MOTHER stood up during the taping of the show in support of Jim and to tell Dr. Phil to his face that they were portraying Jim in an unfair light and had many details wrong. Naturally, that was edited out. Why? Because they wanted to make Jim the bad guy. Why? Because it sells.

I thought the show really made a point of showing the tenderness of their reunion at first but then went on to show that there were personality conflicts later, like when Kristi wanted to forgive the SG but Jim interfered. Also, it made a point of showing Jim as a hero who fought for his kids. Things just turned out not so well afterwards though.

Come on people, there is more to the story here.

Could you tell us what the "more" is? Specifically could you explain what Kristi did that you feel was wrong when you say, For Kristi to do what she did to her dad ... is very upsetting to all of us.
