I suppose that the LaMattery family knew what the Dr. Phil Show was all about. Jim may have gone in with an agenda do kill do birds with one stone and, if that's true, he did. He got some help with his interpersonal relations, and the Family (and Family fallout) did get some exposure. Who knows, further action may come and be included in a future update in regards to the Fam and it's abusive doctrines, like what happened with Jeff Warren's and his cult. As with the Jeff Warren's thing, though, society may not be equiped yet to re-socialize everybody.
