Garbage Eaters

I happened across this profile of a cult known as the Roberts Group or the Garbage Eaters. It's like reading a page detailing my own early history in the COG, although in this profile there is no apparent connection. I don't recall this group being mentioned here in past discussions on groups that splintered from the COG. With so many similarities, is it possible that this Jim Roberts had some affiliation with or was influenced by the early COG. The one problem with the web site is that I can't find any dates so I don't know how recent this information is, but if they're still active their lives are very similar to the COG that I joined. It's as if they've frozen in time for 30 years, possibly as a result of not having Berg's influence to lead them into extreme weirdness.
