Talking About James Dobson's Support for Harriet Miers To Supreme...

Harriet Miers is a sincere Christian fundamentalist who indicated to Dobson and others in private that she would overturn Roe vs. Wade and be a proponent of the Christian Evangelical movement.

She was eminently unqualified for the appointment.

Intellectual, and regular Republicans who believe in meritocracy and hard work to acheive straight A's and top standing in top Universities and an impeccable life of deep and broad thinking about judicial matters to be proper qualifications for the Supreme Court, felt mocked.

Bush was working like a cult works, handpicking sycophants that you like and who personally worship you to be your subordinates.

Every Republican--except the extreme Right fundamentalists of Dobson's mindset--smelled a rat and were appalled.

Hillary Clinton summed up the whole affair with the statement:

"Could Harriet Miers please just tell us one thing that she disagrees with President Bush on?"

Perhaps, Dobson and his growing constituency of Christian Evangelicals need to groom their own flocks more and pay attention to their own Christian Family and the even-nuttier-permutations of Christian thought and cult practice that makes Dobson and Christians somewhat clueless about the Constitution, the rule of law, and the uses and abuses of culture within a society.
