boy, she turned into a rotter, didn't she? So awful. I met some of the offspring from that sordid dysfunctional family and they are sooo hurting from all of that. The pain in their eyes is so deep. And one brother had recently committed suicide. The brother I was talking to was so sad. I tried to help him through the pain and he said, "well, when does the pain stop!"
I used to wonder how all this was affecting the children, now I know. I would try and talk to people about it - I'd protest: "doesn't anyone care how this affects the children, what are they thinking?" Then I'd get in trouble for murmuring and doubting.
