Ex-husband says Debra LaFave would have gotten jail if not a woman

(NEW YORK) - Debra LaFave's former husband says if her crimes had been committed by a man he "would have definitely gotten some jail time."

On Tuesday, the former Florida teacher took a plea deal to dodge a prison sentence over allegations she had sex with a 14-year-old. She pleaded guilty to lewd and lascivious battery and received three years house arrest, followed by seven years probation.

Owen LaFave told CBS that deal sends the message that sex with minors isn't so bad. And, he says she still doesn't realize "how wrong it really is" to have sex with a child.

The boy told investigators he and Lafave had sex in a classroom, in her home near Tampa and once in a vehicle. The LaFaves were newlyweds at the time.

The ex-husband says it was the "most intense pain" he's ever experienced.

I really don't know, if you can stomach this website:

As I am reading, besides other things in life also a good amount of the boulevard-press( lying around at work), I am astonished how hypochritical the world, the "system" is.For one it shows daily a new almost nude beauty & enhencing the thoughts with many newsclips, how important sex is, yet they
sound so scandalised, when this or that happens...someone going overboard in a sexcrazed society (although the old Greeks etc. seemed may be in
a somewhat similar state)...becoming criminal...then they exploit that news for their benefit...bad news sells....where are their morals???

In the particular LaFave case, I didn't find any outrage against the rather lenient sentence term...the headlines were rather talking about this "Sex-teacher"
as if it were something fabulous...

My question: what righteousness do you expect of the world, the particular you live in....also in terms of how they'd deal with TF...to me the
court-case in England doesn't seem such a big victory...was Ricky may be desillusioned about getting things done the legal way??
