Jane and Stephen left sometime after returning from Libya and spending time in Malta for a few years. That was after Shula got Merry(Mene Mene) back from them when they had kidnapped her.
They were very upset when Berg began writing about Davidito and feeling left out after Berg fired basically his whole family from their high positions in leadership. It was becoming clear to the orginal Berg family that Berg was moving into making Maria the new leader along with Davidito.
They left. But they were never cut off from financial supply. They still received "royalties" from Berg. Now there was some money Jane did deserve of Berg's retirement from having worked for Fred Jordon. And it would not look good for Berg to have his wife without a means of support. But that was not the only reason they continued to receive royalties. One would imagine it was a way of keeping them "silenced". Should she really speak up against Berg than she might not receive her royalties.
Whether Jane and Stephen receive royalties now from Maria I do not know. A few other people were sent royalties who had been intimate with Berg and he wanted silenced for quite a while.
It seems that the sending of royalties to ex-members to silence them is rather an abuse of the struggling poor in the cult who send their money into Maria and Peter in good faith that they are not misusing the money, but putting it to the service of those serving the Lord, rather than paying for people's RETIREMENTS. Who will pay the retirement of the poor people in the cult who spent their life on the far flung fields their whole life?
Where is the fairness of the use of money? But then again people stay in there and keep sending Maria their money.
I guess a lot of people have never thought they would get old as Jesus was supposed to return. Well, it looks like many people will get old in there and reach their 60's without a means of surviving their old age. What royalties will they get?
