Hoping to find out a little more from this guy but this is what he wrote to me (after I won the auction). I asked him how he came to obtain the book. Did he know of the COG etc etc....

No, I just happened to pick it up. As it happens I know quite a lot
about the Children of God as I studied them some years back and
actually wrote something about them. I used to produce a series of
papers on various aspects of religion. Don't know whether I still
have anything around now. Have you had contact with the group or did
you join? I'd be interested to learn more of your own experiences.
