don't forget who it was that was really running the show in an even more sinister way - dear Ms. Maria herself. Maybe down the ranks women were short shifted and kept in their place, but in Berg's household, Maria ruled and that power went to her head. She turned the tools around and manipulated him with drink and sex and then manipulated what went on in TF. She affectively beat out all the royal family so no one could challenge her position as Queen Bee. Even down the ranks in TF there were plenty of women who ruled with an iron fist. I don't think this type of evil is limited to one gender.
