I can only use myself as one who was on Paxil, I had depression brought on as a side effect from treatment for hep-c. It did me good and worked real well. Although thee have been occurences of suicides from people who have taken anti-depressants the people who have taken them and been helped much more outnumber those who have commited suicide. Also stooping too soon can have adverse effects, pwople need to be weaned slowly from the medication
