Thanks for your input. I am speaking from many years of experience in the therapeutic and pharmacological field. Severe and complex PTSD is really a nightmarish beast. I have a saying about it, just like when talking about love and falling in love - every time is like the FIRST time. The good news and the problem is that time is an essential and most crucial factor in the road to partial recovery. Since time is money in this culture, who's got the time? (read irony here)

Of course a stitch in time could save nine. But it is so much easier to destroy than to rebuild. It is easier to perpetuate a culture of violence (at any and all levels, including the ones occurring in cults) than a culture of health. If the hundreds of billions spent on fighting wars and killing were instead used to benefit the health of people who suffer we may not need to have these "desperate" threads. I mean it - as far as I am concerned there is so much desperation in every one of these testimonies and accounts, including min, and the public proof of a culture of public and private violence hidden behind a political veneer of "in God we trust" flavor.

Happy President's Day.
