"If some stretcher cases think they need it - fine with me"

You don't have to be a stretcher case to need psychotropic drugs as part of your medical treatment. That is quite a fucking put down, man! That is part of the problem why people who need it don't seek medical help. Because of the stigma morons like you place on them.

Nobody needs to be, or can be strong and able all the time, and nobody needs to only find answers within themselves all the time like the macho shit you claim. Sometimes the problem is bigger then you and it takes a bit of help from a fellow human, and from medications.

If you have a fever of 104, you can argue all you want that bringing down the fever is just fixing the symptom but not the problem, and you can argue that you're body's just trying to do its job to heal you. But fevers can kill. I've had a health freak anti-medical person with the above arguments die in my hands! Taking paracetamol or even an icy sponge bath enables your body to cool down and rest, to have a chance to do some real healing.

The same with psychotropic drugs. They are not the be all and end all, but they can be part of a person's healing and well-being, when the problem is more than they can handle themselves. You don't have to be a stretcher case to fall in that category.
