Aldous Huxley was also into perception issues and philosophy. The above observation is accurate in that the individual will be "loyal" or "dedicated" to the imprinting perceptions. BF Skinner was a social scientist who did a great deal of work on imprinting, operant conditioning and how organisms become conditioned to behaviour responses based on imprinted conditioning otherwise known as behaviour shaping. For those deply conditioned at a prime point in their life cycle such as childhood such imprinting can be almost unbreakable.
