You had given very authoritative conclusion to this whole matter, but I don't think it's asking too much to simply tell us how you arrived at that conclusion. Otherwise we're just taking your word for it. I don't mean to offend you, so please don't take offense, but understand that I'm very hesitant to simply take someone's word at face value any more.

You state, "It would seem that upon making such a claim (you did state that Paul received a grant)". No, I was not the one who made that claim. Please check the posts above. That was not me, but two independent sources. I merely felt that their claims sounded credible.

From them I'd ask the same thing: show us the online proof that Paul received a grant.

However, since you have spoken so definitively that he did NOT receive a grant, all I'm asking is that you tell us how you came to that conclusion. I trust that it't not a secret, is it? Honestly, no offense intended, but these are sincere questions.
