Well, again, it's totally up to you. I felt you were attacking NDN in some of your comments, and I think you have misunderstood the board based on other people's opinions and not your own. A lot has changed at NDN over the past few years, and management has changed hands a few times since Barney began it.

I don't know much about IP addresses except they are your computer's address, I think sites use them for cookies. This site as well must use them as they have blocked people, and from what I've gathered, this is how you block someone. I think everywhere you go there is a trace from your computer, but you can always use a public computer, and probably there are programs available that will cover your IP or re-write it to appear as coming from a different location. It could be a good idea for people who are worried about being traced.

As far as anyone at our site having access to the IP data for the poll, I believe that noone does. Again, I can't say 100% for sure, but I can say that I wouldn't allow the use of the IP data to be used in any way other than to prevent one person from casting 100 votes. If I were to hear of someone else using the data in any other way, malicious or otherwise, I would immediately do what I could to stop it, including making a public fuss about it.

I hope that assures you that there are no malicious intentions involved with the setting up of this poll.
