'Science has discovered...' Or has it?

I heard two kids arguing, one saying that if you sang to plants they'd grow better, & the other basically saying that was nuts. It reminded me that Berg taught that: talk gently to plants & they'll grow better. (Hmmm, so why did he scream & yell at people?)

Berg was always quoting some 'scientists who said bla bla...' Or 'Scientists who have discovered that...' Seems he was always picking up on some new thing scientists said to match his theories & doctrines.

How many of us still talk to plants? Or do other things because 'science has discovered' whatever? Has science really discovered these things? Maybe it has. Or maybe it hasn't. I guess I'm just rambling here, trying to question everything I was taught.
