OK, let's talk about rights--
Did I NOT have the right to be properly educated?
Did I NOT have the right to choose my own career in life?
Did I NOT have the right to believe as I see fit?
Did I NOT have the right to talk back to my 'elders', to not be punished for wanting to see some silly movie, to want to spend a day goofing off, to paint my nails and wear makeup?
Did I NOT have the right to go out on dates with a guy I had a crush on, and NO, not the 1-hour date in the basement bedroom on the bed.
Did I NOT have the right to freely visit my grandparents, mother and relatives who were not in the cult?
No, I didn't have those rights. The cult took them away and kept me under the lock and key of religious control.
I believe in freedom.
