I didn't mean to give the impression that I think COG/TFI is pro-communist. During its salad days in the Phillipines, TFI/Berg got a lot of traction by taking an anti-communist position. From everything I've read, it doesn't appear that TFI has any sort of consistent political position other than to condemn the US as the Great Whore and reject Israel as anti-Christ. Beyond that, TFI "prophets" appear to praise and condemn political leaders in various countries based the extent to which they perceive those leaders serving the interests of TFI.

My concern with North Korea has more to do with its humanitarian violations than with communism, per se. I have similar concerns with Sudan, which isn't a communist state. For that matter, I have humanitarian concerns about any country that chooses to rationalize the use of torture as being in its national interests, which would put the US in the same camp as China.
