I understand the motives of a daughter who defends her father on a public website, and she doesn't have the power to mess up my head unless I give it to her. So what if I choose to believe Deb when she says her father is out of TFI? I think she is sincere, so I'm willing to give her the benefit of the doubt. She believes her father is out, even if he's not. Nothing Deb says about her father is going to change my mind about TFI's criminal leadership or the group's propensity to create its own version of reality, much to the detriment of its members and society.

At this point, there isn't enough evidence one way or another for me to have much of an opinion about Tim Peters beyond the obvious fact that he has to live with the consequences of his decision to affiliate with FCF. When I read his statements/responses to Texas Ray about TFI affiliation, I saw an adult reacting with oppositional defiance--not exactly the most reasoned and mature response in the playbook. Deb's response to my post re-inforces this view I've formed of her father: Tim Peters is a bull-headed, stubborn man who reacts very negatively to any criticism about the way he does business. This doesn't suggest a man with an upwardly mobile career in TFI to me.
