I'm not sure if you're a regular here Swami, but if not you should know that I hate being misrepresented on these boards, so let me set the record straight.
You miss my point, which is that I think that people's rights should come before animal rights. I was not trying to deny him his right to support whatever cause he wants, as you suggest. I never said that he should advocate for children in cults simply because he was once one himself, or that he is anyway obligated to do that because of his past. That fact is really beside the point, and I only mentioned it as an aside. I was merely trying to express my disappointment in celebrities like him, as he seems more concerned about chained animals than chained children. Now that may be a very unfair and uninformed assessment of him, and as I suggested, perhaps if it was brought to his attention he might very well support efforts like SPF.
Just please don't put words or opinions in my mouth, thank you very much. Stick that in your ananda and swami it. ;)
