I think it is far harder to hurt someone if you know them, even if it has only ever been a cyber friendship or acquaintance.

I am not a Christian and am in fact Agnostic and there are things I don't like that people write at any given board, but what makes me sad with this whole situation is that both boards provide resources and room to speak for ex-members.

I go to both boards because there are people at both boards that I like. It's that simple. (hey, you and your sis are two I love to read posts of!) I don't know why someone here is posting doom and destruction of another exer site. The way I see it, it's more like a tsunami of emotions at a emotionally charged time of the year passed through there.

It has happened here before. I think it is more often like a growing pain. That period of dis-comfort gives everyone a time to re-evaluate things in their lives.

What I would like to see, everywhere in exer-cyber-world, is more acceptance and understanding that people do indeed change. Boards change, people change and change again.
And you are right, it is good that there is a more Christian oriented board for some exers who retained a faith, and this board for people who didn't or who have found alternative spiritual views and/or Christianity. Still, neither board excludes one or the other as far as knowing how the person basically believes.
Well, was your Aussie Christmas a blast or what?
I'd love to hear how it was to celebrate down under.
Here, it was a mixed bag. It is always good to have connections which I have now, but it is still an emotionally charged time of the year.
I always feel like I can breathe again after the 25th..
