I found it ironic how Ruth bragged about rubbing shoulders with Lauren Bacall, by having classes with her teacher or something. Wasn't the system supposed to be garbage and fame and glory part of its stinking seepage?
One curious thing was how she sang. She sang in a distinctly non-MWM/family inspiration way. She screeched at the upper registers of her aging throat like a rusty Joan Baez.
