I don't doubt that he/she is genuine. I think that the tone of the post doesn't seem to be designed to "stir things up".

If the person is a guy maybe they never pimped their wife in the FFing days, or if they're a gal they never FFed, which was all done in obedience to the person who we believed was God's chosen end-time prophet, so we did it to obey God. Maybe he/she didn't have children who were exposed to the adult/child sexual practices that took place in accordance with the words of the "mouthpiece" of God.

I can see a few reasons why some people who aren't members anymore have a positive perspective, and they are out there. Close to where I live there’s a couple I have sporadic contact with and they’ve been FM on paper for years. They still think positively about the Family and it's really hard for me to understand how or why, except for one reality: remembering back to when I was a member I really did like most of the people I knew and lived with in the group. If I think back focusing on the individual, most of memories of those individuals are positive. Part of my recovery from the influence the sect had in my life has been to sort the good from the bad, which is a gargantuan task because the influence that my membership in the Family has had on my life is huge, I was a member for many years, my kids grew up in the group too.
