Hi. I just wanted to comment on your comment. I was passing through the HCS in Tateyama when you were there, as one of the teens.

I knew several of the shepherds there, and talked with them at the time. I asked the one in charge of the teens, Ado, Daniel's father, how the teens were doing there and why they were brought there.

He said that everyone of them had serious spiritual problems and needed to get the
victory over their worldliness, rebellion and shallowness, and he commenced to tell me what they found when they searched the bags of the new recruits.

Some of them had knives, system CDs, porn mags,
condoms, and worldly clothes he said.

They sounded like normal kids to me who just needed some guidance, but instead they got a strict extreme, hard Spartan treatment.

I saw that there was a teen sharing schedule there
where only the teens were on. So although I was there only a couple of weeks, it was enough to see how the teens there were being treated.

I saw Christy, who was 16 and had a child. I didn't know who the child was from and didn't dare ask.

It seemed that whenever I talked to someone about the teens, Ricky, Elaine or Ado, Ginny, or
Josiah, that every one of the teens there were
labeled as problem cases, and if they were caught doing something they weren't supposed to, they were punished in some way. One of the punishments was more dishes or duties, another was to write out Bible verses for two hours.

After talking to the shepherds there, I left with the impression that the shepherds there had a very negative attitude towards the teens, and the overall attitude was that they were rather
hopeless and this was their last chance before they got thrown out. Some of them did.

Lamont was sent to live with his grandmother, and later I found out that the HCS got worse and started using corporal punishment on the teens pretty regularly.

If I spoke up and questioned why the teens were being treated that way they told me , just wait and you will read abou tit in a new Mo Letter.

Then the letter "Rotten Apples" came out and it was about the situation there and I found that the reason the shepherds were the way they were there and had that unloving abusive attitude towards the
kids there was because BERG was feeding that mentality to them with his threats and complaints and new rules to make them work hard and make life harder for them.

This came about because of the negative reports he received from the very shepherds who were asking how they should handle these "unruly " teens.

So I came ot the conclusion that this abuse came about because the leaders and shepherds wanted more power and control over the teens and kids so
reported only their negative side, and pretty extremely negative at that.

Personally I didn't think the teens were bad as they were made out to be.

They brought them there to the TSC and made a little prison there and treated them like prisoners and inmates instead of kids.

They couldn't breathe without someone breathing down their back, and were all pretty much scared into not becoming "like
Mene" The Last State GN was read to all the teens as a warning to them not to murmur and to obey explicitly or the same thing will happen to them and Berg was setting the standard for teen- care with that GN at the HCS.

I knew your dad and was very upset to hear he had passed away. I still sing some of his songs sometimes.

Best to you and keep fighting for your kids. GB
