I think it's only because there hasn't been a lot of activity on the GenEx board of late. Board activity comes in waves, and this time there seems to be a longer spell in between waves. In the past, articles such as Fiona's in the FN, have generated a lot of examination and response.

That article is one of many in the FN Encyclopedia that contains references to things which reveal the sick group think mindset that prevailed in the Fam in those years. A sick mindset is still prevalent in the Fam, it has simply evolved into a new shape and form.

It is very uncomfortable reading, regardless it has been important for me to go back and examine where I was at and what Berg published to establish and determine the Family member identity. When things like that were published my conscious told me it was wrong but that got compartmentalized.

In those years we were our own single family home so we weren't confronted with it firsthand, in '87 we returned to being "on the mission field" again in India, the advisory came on no adult/child sex which is an example of typical Family leadership expertise in sweeping things under the rug.

The fact is, thanks to this board, over the last 5-6 years I've had a chance to do a lot of "uncomfotable" reading, discuss and examine the insanity of the belief system and practices that I was a part of when I was member. Doing this has helped in how I've been able to work out some of the problems and issues that have existed between me and my own exmember children. I do what I can. When Sarafina asked for affadavits in the San Diego case I sent one in. There's other things I do which I hope are beneficial. As a former adult member I still have my part of responsibility and accountability. It's a process on many levels that is not finished.
