I don't discount your pain and I think that when you discount others pain, who are not of your generation, you are no different than those who do that to yours.

Just because I got out when I did does not mean that your pain is any less or your need to feel avenged is any less real to you. Neither does it make my experience and loss any less relevant.

What you would want most likely will never happen. Then what? Did you ever see the film "Sonny" which I think Nicolas Cage directed? It is about the age I left the Family, when the main characters leave.
I probably relate to it because of where I came from before the family and what age I was when I left.

I am sure the best help besides therapy with someone who you feel is a help- is amongst your peers and hanging with the ones that are making it outside the Family now. It might be your own family that left- your real one, biological brother or sister or husband or wife.
Just going the opposite direction from all things "The Family" and making your way. You have likely done that for yourself already.

I hope you will survive and be well and that as time passes your pain will lessen. I would hope you could get some sort of recognition of pain you experienced directly from people that hurt you personally, but I do realize that is very unlikely for most.

I would hope you could recognize that people that have left from another generation are very much capable of empathizing and want to be helpful in whatever capacity they can. But if that capacity is to be called Nazi's and equated with Berg for having joined, then you do not understand the nature of the beast that consumed not just your generation but all that came in touch with it.
