These are all very good questions being asked, and we need to find the answers together. One of the simpler things that can be solved right away though, is how to avoid a growing number of web pages with the names in question. Initials can be used for the person or persons being discussed. If necessary, discreet references can be made so we're all clear about who it is we're talking about without mentioning their name in full. That way, any googling will not likely lead to even more appearances of the very name(s) they're trying to have removed.
