I did read your comment about search engines. I imagine you are aware that other websites copy and paste things from this site, which can then be located on search engines. This only compounds the problem Johnny Reb and Jo Anne spoke about.

Finding a consensus amongst anonymous posters about an issue seems both difficult and somewhat pointless. It's not like registered voters. It is the coordinators of this site that decide what content serves the best interests of those they serve. You folks decide what is allowed to be posted. I am not sure what purpose is served by insisting that the matters in question be discussed on the world wide web, when that is exactly the issue that is affecting the lives of folks, both FG and SG that are trying to move on. But perhaps I am missing something.

To me the issue is one of trying to find ways for people who have come to their senses, have renounced the Family's harmful teachings and practices, and are trying for the sake of their kids, to improve their family's chances for healthy and productive lives. Insisting on exposure of those who continue to stonewall and participate in a corrupt cult is one thing. And justified. I simply do not see what good is accomplished by the use of legal names of exmembers who are truly sorry and are trying to do the right thing. As Johnny or Joann point out, FG's really don't have too much longer to go. If they are sincerely trying to help their kids and grandkids get a better shot, I personally can't see who is helped by the current policy. It at least seems consideration of the wishes and best interests of their kids should be considered a major factor.

But anyway, I rarely participate in this discussion. And I've tried to express things from the peanut gallery. I can't see why a discussion without the entire planet having access between the parties affected and those who make the decisions that do affect the lives not just of FG's but also (and more importantly!) SG's, wouldn't be a good step. But that is about all I wanted to say.

BTW, I wish you well in your continued efforts to provide a place for former members to explore and discuss their past, in hopes of a better future.
