That was exactly my point. We don't know anything about the situation. Our answers are just guesses full of assumptions and our own bias.
When I read the answers I see a bunch of concerned people who would like to help these parents and their children but I also see a lot of caution to avoid giving a free pass to some perpetrator and abuser.
