Right now you still have critical-thinking abilities, but they will chip away at this. Right now you still think of them as "them" and "their doctrine." If you internalize any more of their not-so-innocent message, your "self" soon disappears, and you'll be thinking in terms of "others," "we," "us" and "the Lord (through their filters)." And they'll be telling you this is a good thing. Get away while you can.

If you found God/Jesus through them, it complicates things for you emotionally. Remember that they do not have a corner to God, Jesus, or the "truth." You have your own relationship to God. Pray first for you, yourself, to be strong, not deluded. Avoid praying according to their criteria and conditioning--they will tell you what to pray for so that they can use their narrow interpretation of "what God's will is" on you, to manipulate you into seeing things their way.
